Today I'll be sharing on one of my new favourite brand, NARS.
At where I stay (Singapore), there was recently a sale going on at TANGS so I managed to grab this gorgeous lip pencil.
I asked the sales person for a orangey, coral shade and he recommended this shade, Happy Days.
The velvet gloss finish also helps with not drying my lips out unlike the Revlon Matte Lip Balms.
Though as you might know, glossy lip products tend to last shorter than the matte ones, but it isn't a problem because I only reapply it after a meal so it can last about 4 hours without touching up, under the weather in Singapore (which is eternal summer ranging at about 30 degrees celsius daily).
Here is what the official NARS website says about its product:
Gorgeously glossy color in a jumbo lip pencil. Spectacular shine in an innovative, lightweight formula and enriched with Vitamin E plus a blend of moisture-rich hyaluronic spheres that make lips appear fuller.
Ultra smooth, buttery feel on the lips
Contains vitamin E, hyaluronic spheres and phytosterol esthers; ingredients known to moisturize, increase hydration and improve barrier function
Convenient, easy application
Here's how the colour is:
It appears as a coral shade on the back of my hands, but it actually is just a slight orange to my lips.
I'm really happy with this product although it is on the pricey end, it is US$25, and I got it for about S$40 over the counter.
It does live up to what it says, easy application and moisturises. Though I am not sure if it actually make your lips appear fuller, because I thought it looked normal. Perhaps just a little bit fuller because of the gloss effect.
Nevertheless, if you are looking for a day to day lip product that can last you for months, this is the right product to go (if you don't mind spending a few more extra bucks)!
Ratings (overall):
Price: 3/5 (Not so wallet friendly)
Product: 5/5 (Works pretty well on my lips that has a lot of troubles!)
Colour: 5/5 (Perfect shade of orange!)
Repurchase?: Yes, but probably another colour.
Set your eyes on the above,
Kristy
